Our company – Arundel Kerr Produce Ltd – was founded in 1999 by Richard Arundel and Bruce Kerr, to market the potato production of William Kerr Farms in Suffolk. The initial success of the business soon attracted other growers who were looking to add value to their potato enterprise by utilising AKP’s marketing skills and taking advantage of the strong relationships that AKP had with some of the UK’s leading retail, processing and food manufacturing businesses.

By 2001 we were growing 1,000 acres of potatoes (15,000t) and marketing a further 50,000 of member grower production. With a strong philosophy of quality potato production and vertical integration, our business is now involved in all areas of the produce supply chain, growing 1,000 acres of potatoes in Suffolk, 500 acres in Lincolnshire and handling in excess of 100,000 tonnes of potatoes annually.

Over the last few years, we have invested in a state-of-the-art storage and grading plant in Elsham,North Lincolnshire; a distribution operation; a processing facility and a potato import and export business. All strands of the business  work compatibly and contribute to our complete potato offering – we are able to grow, manage and distribute every kind of potato both in the UK and overseas.
